Does Radiation Therapy For Cancer Cause Pitted Edema?

Yes, My daughter is being treated with radiation for cancer and she has pitted adema. Can this cause pitted adema? They are trying to make the tumor smaller so the pain will ease, there isn t much they can do for her. I just wanted to know about radiation treatment.

Hi.

Pitted edema can result from various side effects of the radiotherapy, medications, or even the cancer she has. So unless I have all the details I cannot accurately comment on the exact cause for the pitted edema, but of course radiotherapy is a possibility.
