Does Prostatic Enlargement Grade 3 With Concretions Lead To Cancer?
Hi,.My dad (aged 57 years old) undergo for an ultrasound. Results stated that the prostrate gland is enlarged measuring 5.5 x 6.0 X 4.1cm corresponding to about 72 grams. Highly echogenic foci are seen in the protrate gland. Impression is that he has a prostatic enlargement, grade 3 with concretions. Is there a need for a serious medication? Does it leads also to prostrate cancer? Thanks

Yes, it is serious and yes it can cause prostate cancer. Initially medication can be tried but later on he might need surgery for the same.
