Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my husband had a pacmaker fitted 5 weeks ago - his left shoulder blade is now still sore and he says he sometimes has pins and needles in his left arm. also after doing some light work, a vein near his left elbow was very, very swollen. it went down after a while. what is going on?
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that the pins and needles in his left arm could be related to an irritated or pinched nerve during the procedure.
Regarding the swollen vein, it could be related to a local infection or inflammation, probably caused by the procedure.
Anyway, there is nothing to worry about! These symptoms are not indicative of any serious medical disorder.
Hope to have been helpful!
Wishing all the best,
Dr. Iliri
