Does My Chest Ultrasound Show Signs Of Breast Cancer?
Clinical details:On screening U/S of right breast a small area of mild density is visualised at 6 o clock position.No palpable lesion. Gross examination:Mild increased in texture of breast is felt in the lower part of right breast-aspirated. FNAC OF A BREAST SAYS :The smears show mostly fat globules, an occasional small clump of epithelial cells are detected.There is no cell atypia. Conclusion:Mild adenosis right breast Note:Similar findings detected in left breast- My elder sister was diagnosed with breast cancer and had a mastectomy done.Do I need to follow up with a docter or is just a pre menopausal condition? I am 46 years old

1.No its not simple pre menopausal status, its a breast lesion benign in nature, but needs followup.
2.If its not causing mass effect and not causing any discomfort, then you can avoid taking any action, but get a scan every 6 monthly to compare with every study weather increase, decrease, no change.
3.Keeping in mind the familial history of breast cancer, get a better checkup.
