Does Mono Cause Rise In BP Levels And Tingling Feeling In Hands?
I have recently been diagnosed with mono. I don t seem to have most of the symptoms that I ve seen mentioned but when I get up and do a little bit around the house my blood pressure seems to rise. And sometimes I just get a weak almost tingling feeling in my hands. Is this a normal thing with mono? I take blood pressure medicine.
No, it is unlikely to cause rise in BP and tingling feeling in the hands. 'Mono' is a contagious disease most commonly caused by Epstein-Barr virus. Its most common symptoms include extreme fever, fatigue, sore throat, headache, body ache, swollen lymph nodes in the neck and armpits, swollen liver or spleen or both and rash. Increased blood pressure and tingling sensation in the hands do not occur with 'mono'. You are advised to consult your treating doctor for further clinical assessment and treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
