Does Migraine Cause Loss Of Control Over Bowel Movements?

I am 61 and I just started getting migraines. I just had a terrible one, pretty much lost control of urine, dry heaves for a long time, then throwing up, nausea, only thing that helped a little was frozen fruit on my head ... I wanted to pass out I felt so terrible. Basically had to lay by the toilet for hours. Finally better now

Hi,

First of all, you should do an CT brain to exclude a focal brain lesion, because migraine cannot occur in the elderly without a reason. Moreover, you should do some investigations such as: measuring your blood pressure and fasting blood glucose. The results of these investigation can help us with the correct diagnosis of your case.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mustafa, Neurologist
