Does Medication For Acid Reflux Cause Dryness On Lips?
My lips are dry, like they re wind burnt. Although I ve not been in the wind or sun. I ve been to the doctor with a burning in the stomach area. He put me on 3 acid reflux pills a day for possible stomach ulcer. The stomach pain is doing better. So why are my lips feeling this ?
Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of dryness on lips which seems to be due to acid refux contents and its medications as well and it could be due to dehydration and excessive sun exposure.
Need not to worry. I would suggest you to apply petroleum jelly over the lips. Do not bite on the lips as it leads to exaggeration of symptoms. Consult your physician once and get evaluation done and go for alternative course of medication. Apply aloevera gel as well to maintain moisture of lips and drink plenty of water to maintain hydration. Maintain basic oral hygiene. Avoid eating sharp and spicy foods.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Harry Maheshwari
