Does Medical Marijuana Help In Reducing Pain And Inflammation?

We live in a state with medical marijuana. We have heard and read that mm helps with pain and inflammation. Is that true? Also we have heard that it has a tendency to lower blood pressure. Is that true? Also if it is rubbed onto painful areas of the body rather than smoked or eaten, does the rubbing instead of imbibing change its effects? Is it better to rub on a medical marijuana lotion to decrease pain and swelling rather than to take oxycontin?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

No, it does not help. You should see a doctor for help and maybe be prescribed ordinary pain killers.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Anders Mark Christensen, General Surgeon
