Does lifting weights result in breakage of blood vessels in eyes?

My eyelid is swollen from what believe to have been a heavy weight training session the other day. This is accompanied with redness in the opposite eye. Is it possible to break blood vessels in the eyeball and eyelid from extreme blood pressure exerted while lifting weights?

HI
Well to HCM
Red eye and swelling may not be due to the heavy weight lifting but this could be due to the infection, or allergic condition this is nothing to take with the weigh lifting, in my opinion condition need to be examine with ophthalmologist, hemodynamic system need to be examined too (Blood pressure) better to stop the weight lifting for some days, hope this information helps.
