Welcome to HealthcareMagic,
When a person is doing regular exercises his body will be well maintained but when he stops exercising he starts putting weight as extra calories will be stored in the body in the form of fat. You can join and leave gym anytime you want but remember that you need to eat a balanced diet at all times. You need more food and calories when you work out and less when you are not working out. So match your food intake with your workouts and you will not put on weight.
Hope that answers your question.
Regards, Dr.Imaad.
