Hello. Thank you for writing to us

Laser is not for active acne.
However, Laser is commonly used for resurfacing of acne scars.
Laser resurfacing is expensive. The cost would vary from center to center.
Before proceeding for Laser resurfacing I suggest you to get appropriate treatment for acne.
I suggest you to visit a dermatologist. Your dermatologist will assess the severity of acne and advice accordingly.
Both, oral as well as topical antiacne treatment can be tried depending on severity of acne.
Oral treatment options include Oral antibiotics and Oral Retinoids e.g Isotretinoin.
Oral antibiotics e.g either Doxycycline, Minocycline Or Azithromycin are mainly reserved for inflammatory acne i.e acne that is red, painful and pustular
Oral Retinoid e.g Isotretinoin is one of best drugs for treatment of acne. It is comedolytic, anti-inflammatory as well as sebum inhibitor and therefore has a multipronged mechanism of action.
Topical antibacterials like benzoyl peroxide and clindamycin are effective antiacne antibacterials.
They can be used once or twice daily as a spot treatment for active acne.
Topical Retinoids e.g Adapalene is antiinflammatory and comedolytic and can be used once daily at acne affected area.
They prevent new acne apart from treating existing ones.
