Does Kidney Transplantation Cause Any Future Health Complications?

Hi... Sir I got my Kidney transplanted one month ago and after discharge my creatinine level is veriable between 1.7 to 2.0. Pre transplant I have diagnosed by the doctor that I have only one kindey in my left side by birth. So please suggest me that there is some complication with my kidney/transplant.

hello,
welcome to healthcaremagic.

i would like some more details reagarding your kdiney transplant.

your age and gender?
what was the indication for transplant?
how long back was it done?
on what immunosuppressive drugs are you on?

your creatinine is mildly elevated.
following can be the reasons for it-
1. dehydration- try to drink much fluids.
2. small infection- please get your investigations done(Details below)
3. graft failure- however this is less likely.

i would suggest you to get following investigations done-
1.kidney function test- BUN,urea, uric acid, creatinine
2. urine microscopy and culture.
3. xray KUB.
4. USG (if further needed)

isolated increased creatinine can be due to many cause both physiologically and pathologically.

please see your doctor and discuss with him/her the details which i have shared with you.

hope this helps. please feel free to revert back.
thank you
