Does Intake Of Contraceptive Pill Cause Irregular Periods?

Hi, wondering if you can advise. My period was due last sunday. I came off my pill about 4 months ago and last month was the first month my period was a but irregular it can about 3 days late and lasted a full 7 days, usually I m about 4 days. This month I noticed a pinkish mucus which usually is a sign of the start of my period along with irritability and tiredness as usual so I re-started my contraceptive pill as I thought it was the first day of my period.....after 3 days of pill taking my period had still not come on. I ve now stopped the pill again and it s been 6 days since I had that pinkish mucus and so I m 6 days overdue. Could I have started the pill too early and this have stopped my period or is it more likely that I m pregnant?!

HI
Well come to HCM
I really appreciate your concern, if you are on oral contraceptive pill then pregnancy may not be possible and irregular menses is very common phenomenon, if pregnancy being suspected then it needs ultrasonography test without this it can not be ruled out hope this information helps.
