Does Intake Of Postinor 2 Post Sex Prevent Pregnancy?

I made out on 1st of this month with my bf don't know wart happened on the 2nd he gave me post in or 2 to use telling mi for me to be safe am scared doctor I used the two drugs at once but before taken the postinor2 av bn treating masef for malaria..now am scared .I saw my last period on the 6 th of last month now am due I haven't seen this month own hope am not pregnant

Hi,

Your regular period is 6th. You had sex on 1st. You did sex in safe period of cycle if you have regular 28-30 days cycle. You took postinor 2 on next day. If it was taken with in 24 hours then it is highly effective in preventing pregnancy (95-98% effective). So chance of pregnancy is extremely rare.

Bit pill itself cause delay in period by 1 to 2 weeks. Again your period could be delayed by sickness like malaria that cause mild hormonal imbalance. I would suggest to wait for period. If it will delay by more than 2 weeks then consult a gynecologist. Meanwhile avoid stress, take healthy diet, drink plenty of water and do regular exercise.
