Does Intake Of Methylprednisolone Help In Treating Strep Throat?
Will methylprednisolone help strep throat. I just went to the urgent care yesturday with congestion and ear pain. They found no infection in my ear and nothing in my throat. I just looked in the mirror and there is a white sore in my throat. Assuming this is strep will the methylprednisolone work or do I need to go back for something else?

Methylprednisolone is not effective in treatment of sore throat. Do not use it for sore throat. Sore throat can be the first sign of a cold.
Advice
1. Salt warm water gargle six time daily
2. Levocetirine 5 mg daily per oral for 3 days
3. Ibuprofen 400 mg per oral if there is pain in throat. Otherwise avoid it
4. Avoid spicy food for few days
5. Give rest to your voice for few days
