Does Intake Of Buspirone And Fluoxetine For Anxiety Cause Nausea And Vomiting?
My son (13) is having problems lately with nausea and vomiting. He takes both buspirone 5mg bid for anxiety and 40 mg Fluoxetine for depression and anxiety, which he started in early December. I am wondering if the nausea and vomiting could be a result of these two medications, especially now that he is at a steady state dose level

Generally both buspirone and fluoxetine are well tolerated by patients but in rare cases they both can cause nausea and vomiting.
On the other hand there are other causes of nausea and vomiting in a child and seeing the doctor and having proper examination might help determine if this is due to the drugs or something else is causing it.
