Does Insomnia Due To Breathing Difficulty And Heaviness In The Chest Need Sleep Study?
i had a sleep study done last year to see if i had sleep apnea but because of my restless legs i was unable to sleep the whole night . the dr said i didnt have sleep apnea, but how would he know if i didnt sleep i need a second opinion, because i have been waking up in the night with difficulty breathing and a heavy feeling in my chest. should i get another sleep study done
Your symptoms of difficulty in breathing and chest heaviness suggest sleep apnea.
Anothe sleep study would be advisable.
I would also suggest you to not take ativan and similar drugs as these can increase sleep apnea. Rather, zolpidem (prescription drug) would be a better choice if needed to induce sleep
Thanks.
