Thank you I have been taking synthroid 25uM at night every night, but started taking it in the morning about a week ago. for the last few days I have experienced heart palpitations though the day. It is the same sensetion as when I was put on the first dose of 50uM, before my doctor dropped the dose to 25uM

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

Yes, increased dose of Synthroid can cause palpitations. When taken in increased dose Synthroid can cause tremors, increased heart beats, palpitations, sweating and anxiety. I would recommend a dose reduction of Synthroid.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
