Does Increase In Lisinopril Dosage For BP Lead To Headache?

I was put on a higher dosage because the 20 mg of lisinopril was not bringing blood pressure down enough. Have been on it for a month but I started getting headaches. I stopped taking it but I want to know how long it will take for headaches to stop.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The high blood pressure is the cause for headache and not the reverse. If the blood pressure is persistently elevated additional antihypertensive may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain
