Does Hormonal Imbalance Affect Pregnancy Test Results?

i haven’t had my period for 2 years since i gave birth. i took care of my self and started birth control right away i had the arm implant. i took it off about 3-4 months and haven’t been taking care of myself so my spouse and i have been trying to conceive. i wanted to know if i could be pregnant without knowing due to to many hormones in my body that urine test aren’t detecting it ?

Hello,

You can be pregnant before having periods because the conception may occur will be the first ovulation. But, if you had a negative pregnancy test the highest possibility is not to be pregnant.

Pregnancy home test has lower rate of false negativity and it decreases even more if you do more than one test.
