Does High Fever Cause Deliriousness?

Good day. I Just want to ask. Last night my son has a high fever around 39.4 degrees then suddenly out of nowhere while he was sleeping he started to laugh around 10-20 sec and his eyes is open. I shout his name many times but he is not responding, he is just laughing and laughing. And after a few seconds he regains his consciousness and he’s not aware that he is laughing. What would be the cost of this event?
