Does Hangover Prolong For Four Days After Intake Of Excess Alcohol?

Hi, I was drinking three nights ago and got intoxicated, I had a bad hangover the next day and ever since I have felt very sick. I dont normally have this problem and am concerned as it has lasted into the forth day. Is this unusual or is it just my body trying to recover? I only drink once a month at max.

Hi,

Yes, hangover after a heavy binge can easily last up to a week. This happens because the body goes into alcohol withdrawal, the symptoms of which usually peak at the third day and then gradually start improving. Common symptoms are tremors, insomnia and irritability.

Best wishes.
