Does Gout Cause Throbbing Sensation On The Fingers?

I have a throbbing in one of my fingers,--it comes and goes every few seconds. I have had gout attacks ( in my toes and feet) in the past. I am currently on allopurinol and have had no recurrence of gout for the past 2-3 years. I am 83 years old. I don't see any redness or inflammation in the pain area. Can gout be causing this throbbing and what is the best relief?
Thank you.

Throbbing pain in your joints may the beginning of gout.
I would advice you to make sure that your vitamin D levels are appropriate in your body. Intake of Vitamin D supplements can ease the pain.
Take Vitamin C rich diet.
Reduce sugar intake.
Limit red and processed meat in your diet.
Align your joints - Pilates has become increasingly popular over the years due to its many health benefits, which include flexibility and strength – elements that may help relieve pain.
Increase water intake.
