I have developed tinnitus recently.iknowsome part of it is my allergies as nose drops and anti histamines do tend to improve the situation temporarily. I want to know since I have deviated septum problem ,is it possibly also aggravating the tinnitus issue. If so what is the cure. If surgery the option ,how invasive the surgery is? Thanks for your time.

Tinnitus is just a symptoms complex.
Lot of causes for tinnitus.
Deviated nasal septum can cause tinnitus.
Get checked by your ENT doctor for Eustachian Tube function, Audiometry pure tone and CT of Nose and paranasal sinuses.
So many times just retraction of the ear drum due to vaccum created in the middle ear also can cause tinnitus.
If there is severe Deviated nasal septum obstructing the nasal passage, then only you require a surgery. Surgery is done per nasally, post op there will be packing kept in nose for 24 hours. Its a safe surgery, but only if required then go ahead with it.
Thanks and regards,
