My friend has full blown sickle cell disease and is age 30, first pregnancy and is having many episodes of pains etc. She had to be given morphine and other strong pain killers. She's 20 weeks pregnant. Now we are hearing the baby has a cist on it's head and she (the mom) has a swollen spleen. Serious pains on the sides, back and running down to legs. Is that baby going to be normal? Is the mom at risk? Help!
