General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

As per my clinical experience, the Bronakaid contains combination of Ephedrine and Guaifenesin, used for decongestion purpose in various upper and lower respiratory tract infections.

The drug is not associated with development disorders or chromosome abnormalities. However, a genetic analysis is must to evaluate the cause of failure to thrive which directly co relate with the chromosome disorder.

Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
