Does Cetraben Emollient Cream Prevent Itching?

I have just shaved my pubic region for the first time, and I have heard that moisturizers help prevent itch. Does cetraben emollient cream help to prevent itch, and if not, what could my parents have around the house that would help? (I would prefer to not have my parents know) Thanks

Hi Dear,

Understanding your concern. Itching on pubic area after shaving seems to be due to infection of hair follicles. Need not to worry. I would suggest you to keep this area clean and apply topical hydrocortisone cream to prevent itching. You should avoid touching or pricking area. You can use Cetraben cream as it will moisturize your area. If symptoms keeps on persiting visit dermatologist once for proper examination and start treatment accordingly.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
