Hello,
Welcome to HCM.

Baby Orajel is not related to drowsiness to baby whom it has applied.

The feeling of drowsiness could be due to rubbing of baby orajel but jel itself doe not cause drowsiness.

Also,if the baby is started sleeping in night is not so abnormal, sometimes baby's sleeping habit may get changed.

If still you have any doubt, consult nearby GP or pediatrician for more information.

Regards,
