Does Atrial Fibrillation Cause Insomnia?

Hi, I have had Afib for at least 10 yrs and about 4 years ago I was DC with sleep apnea and have been wearing m c-pap regularly. During all of this time I have struggled with chronic insomnia. Lorazepam works but I have developed a dependency and am now tapering off. Is there a causal relationship between Afib and insomnia? Thanks

Varies btween people and it is quite common that if the irregular heart beat is felt, it is disturbing and this disturbs sleep. Of course the Cpap is also very disturbing to sleep also.
