Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I developed an eating disorder in the form of anorexia as a sophomore in college, but gained control during the middle of my junior year. My anxiety, which triggered my eating disorder, has been at all time high and my eating patterns have been irregular. I struggle between over and under eating and compensating through spitting and chewing behavior. I have not fallen back in to my pattern, but I wonder if the behavior of some times spitting and chewing which soothes my anxiety is healthy or not.
