Does Anti-rabies Vaccine Prevent Dog From Communicating Rabies?

I have a very playful Puppy and I'm afraid that he might accidentally bite me due to his playfulness. Is it safe to assume that I won't get rabies as long as he has a complete and updated anti-rabies vaccine? Another thing, how does does the anti-rabies last on a dog? Thank you!

Hello and welcome to HCM,
It is important to vaccinate your pets against rabies.
The transmission of rabies can be prevented if the animal is vaccinated against rabies.
However, if your dog bites you accidently, you need to take an anti-tetanus vaccine.
Pets should be vaccined annually against rabies.

Thanks and take care
