Hi, My daughter is 3 years and 8 months old and since 2 years old, she has been frequently having severe cough with vomiting whenever she sleeps either in the afternoon or in the night. When she is up, she will be fine and very active. The moment she lies down and sleeps, the cough severely starts and she vomits after coughing, After she vomits, she settles down and then she sleeps. Also, she frequently gets cold, it doesnt stop at all, she has been having cold for the past one year and when we took her to ENT, he said she has grown adenoids and gave some medicine, it reduced the cold for a month and it came back. A paediatrician used to put nebulizer first and when it doesn t work he used to give antibiotics whenever she has this condition, it used to reduce the symptoms, but it comes back within short time. One doctor told it is an allergic bronchiatis. We consulted a paediatric pulmonologist recently, he prescribed Budecort 100 inhaler and asthalin inhaler(only when cough is severe once every 4 hours). Also she is taking singular tablet every day. After started taking these medicines, her condition has improved a lot but a week ago, she got the severe cough again followed by vomiting, this time she was coughing and vomiting all night and she did not sleep that night. The following day, it is a bit better. We consulted the pulmonologist again and he prescribed Junior lanzol15 and after taking this she is better now. Is this frequent condition of severe cough and vomiting an allergic bronchiatis? Is the medication and treatment fine? Can we give Junior lanzol15 whenever she gets into this condition? Please advise.
