Does A Tetanus Shot Causes Allergic Reactions?
I am 46 yr old healthy 115 llb woman— Many years ago i was told I was allergic to tetanus—have kot had shot since 1989–i work nonpatient contact healthcare requiring Pertusiss— it comes with tetanus—will I be fine to get the tdap injection? After all this time would i even have another reaction???

From your description, I think that there may be some anaphylactic reaction as both the vaccines use Aluminium as an adjuvant.
I think most probably your reaction was due to aluminum as an adjuvant in the vaccine. A small amount of thiomersal and formaldehyde in both.
