Hello,

Spinal cord injury doesn't cause or have any relation with small vessel disease. Small vessel disease is a chronic issue which develops over many years due to narrowing of the small blood vessels, most commonly due to age and factors such as high blood pressure and diabetes. It is a common finding in many people after the age of 65. So what you have been through with the spinal cord injury has nothing to do with it.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
