My uncle is in his 60s and has very dark bruising on his hip that is spreading and is very painful. He doesn t walk,but uses a motorized scooter. He hasn t had any falls or trauma to his hip. His foot on the same side is numb (he has no feeling)and the heel is very swollen. He also has pain in the knee of the same side . He hasn t been able to sleep due to the pain. He has had a hip replacement on that hip many years ago. He has also had a back fracture recently that he had to wear a back brace for a few months. Is this something urgent he should be seen for or should we wait and make a PCP appointment for?
