Does A Non-healing, Itchy, Pus-filled Bump On Forearm Indicate Staph Infection?
Three days ago, small bump on forearm, itchy, thought it may be a mosquito or other insect bite. It is now seeping, crusty, honey colored pus, area surrounding it is pink/red. As a wrestling coach, I am frequently exposed to young athletes with Ringworm (this is not ringworm), impetigo, and staph infections have hit us hard this year. Concerned this may be Staph, not healing, seeping, etc.. Today headache, fatigue, stiff neck, may be unrelated...

No, its not related to staph infection. It is probably an insect bite or a furuncle. All you can do is to put Fucidin cream and Cortisone cream to heal it.
