Does A Mildly Raised Spot On Chest Indicate Skin Cancer?

I have an age spot looking thing on my chest that is raised a bit to the touch. I don t see my oncology doctor until May. Should I call him for a referral or should I make an appt with my primary care person. I m worried that it is skin cancer. I have already had breast cancer, so a bit nervous. Thanks in advance.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear welcome to HealthcareMagic
Regarding your experience with raised spot on your chest for age following a previous history of breast cancer I will suggest a possible enlarged lymph node

In view of this please do a fine needle aspiration biopsy to rule out any cancer possibility

Please schedule an appointment with a dermatologist specialist for expert clinical assessment Councelling and possible a skin scrapping procedure

I hope this helps Regards
