Does A Cyst In The Brain Cause Sensitivity To Bright Light?

Very soon after entering some highly lit environments I often feel that I need to sit down and feel just sort of sickish. I have a diagnosis of MS, which is very inactive. I also have a cyst in my brain. Are either of these related to this problem? Does it indicate another problem?

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Uhthoff's phenomenon in Multiple sclerosis can cause temporary worsening of vision and heat is the prime aetiology.

Highly lit environments might be increasing exposure to heat.

Even a 0.5 °C increase in body temperature can slow or block the conduction of nerve impulses in demyelinated nerves as in MS.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
