Does A Change In Atmosphere Have Anything To Do With Recurrent Ménière's Disease?
My good friend in her early 80's has Ménière's disease which comes and goes. She has been to numerous doctors who try to help her. Does a change in the atmosphere have anything to do with this condition? It seems she always is laid up with this when there is an atmospheric change!
Hello and welcome to HCM, Meniere's disease is a disease which is affected by atmospheric pressure. As the atmospheric pressure increases the severity of disease increases. The management of Meniere's disease is largely aimed to control the symptoms by using appropriate medication and preventing increase in pressure.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
