My husband is 50 years old, and has fibrosis of the liver, arthritis, and hepatitis c. We have been to so many dr appointments trying to get a dr to listen to him and help him. His rheumotologist sent him to a pain clinic, after 5 different treatments (one was a lytakaine/ketamine infusion) all we have to show for it is dr bills. He can t do any treatments for his arthritis until after he does his hepatitis treatment, which after over a year, 2 different gi doctors we are still waiting for. He has itchy, burning skin so bad at night that he doesn t sleep and they say it is from his liver. He has found that Tramadol works for him and helps his arthritis (and still be able to function) and itchy/burning skin at night but nobody wants to prescribe it for him. Instead they have perscribed different sleeping pills and muscle relaxers- none of which have worked. All they do is make him so dopey he can t even play with our 2 year old son. We are at our wits end with trying to find someone that will listen to him- what do we do?
