Does SMZ/TMP DS Cause Severe Headaches And Dizziness?

I taken the antibiotic SMZ/TMP DS 800-160. I don t usually have severe headaches I have taken the pills for three days. For the last two days, I am dizzy and light headed. Sometimes it is a short time and sometimes for longer. Ihave never experienced this. Could it be the medicine? Would it be alright to take 1/2 twice a day instead the whole pill?

Hello,

SMZ/TMP combination can cause headache,dizziness.Adult dose: PO 160 mg TMP/800 mg SMZ q 12 hr . Switch over to some other antibiotic.Consult your doctor.
