General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello dear
Understand your concern
Regesterone 5 mg daily does not affect the pregnancy. But sometime it can be used in pregnancy to prevent the miscarriage and improve the growth of baby.
But in some case virilization of fetus can be reported if taken without any defect in hormones. So first exclude the defect in the baby by USG scan. It should be done regularly to find the progress. If any defects found in the fetus during first trimester then it should be terminated under the advice of gynecologist.
Hope this may help you
Best regards
Dr. Sagar
