Does Keflex Cause Headaches And Cough?

Will the prescription keflex cause a person to be cold than hot(sweating)? My husband had sinus surgery on Tuesday(2-14-2017) as an outpatient procedure. He was sent home with keflex due to the amount of mucous and brown sticky stuff that found while performing the surgery. My husband feels so weak. He continues to get headaches and can t stop coughing(something that occurred before the surgery A LOT). His sleeping is horrible, too. He needs a sleeping aid to get through the night( for 25 years).

Hi,

I had gone through your question I can understand your concern about your husband. Yes keflex (cephalexin) has side effects of headaches, dizziness, weakness, stomach upset, etc.

Make sure he takes antibiotics regularly and maintains his body fluids by taking good amount of water. Yes, You can consult your surgeon again and get the antibiotics changed if the side effects worsen, make sure you don't stop by yourself.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
