Does Hashimotos Thyroiditis Cause Horseness Of Voice?

Hello, I have Hashimotos Thyroiditis, i take 0.25 Euthyrox. Yesterday i woke up with a hoarse voice, i gave it the day but it is worse today. My head also feels like its heavy (only way to describe it is i feel as though my brain is sore). I had a sonar 3 months ago and there were one or two nodes present but Doc said nothing too serious. Could my thyroid be the cause?

Hello
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query in HCM.I understand your concerns.

Your symptoms are more suggestive of flu like symptoms with laryngitis. You need to give voice rest and take a course of antibiotics like levobact. If symptoms wouldn't come down, you need to consult your endocrinologist.

As you are having headache also, you should take analgesics like ibuprofen.

Hope this helps you.

Thank you
