Does Folic Acid 5mg Intake Cause Delay In Menstrual Periods?

My period is always regular. 26th of every month it comes. And lasts for 7 days but in the march of month i have missed my period and still im not getting my period 3 days ago I took folic acid 5 mg like for 4 days. And I have stopped. Will it be because of that?

Hi, I think folic acid can't cause delay in periods. If you are sexually active, do a urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy first. If negative, it can be due to some stress factor also. You can take some medicines like meprate or deviry for inducing periods. Hope it helps.
