Does Flucloxacillin Have A Bad Taste?
Hi...I ve just been prescribed flucloxacillin for my 1 year old who has matitis(bad spelling)I m just wondering is it supposed to have that horrendus taste,I thought something was wrong with it,it s that bad,I tasted it with my tongue and couldn t get rid off the taste from my mouth,is it supposed to be like this???

You are absolutely right about the taste of flucloxacillin. It is one of the 'worst to taste' oral antibiotics. However, if the course has been prescribed, it should be completed.
Measures you may use to make it palatable for your child include addition of honey/sugar syrup or follow the medicine with anything that your kid likes to eat.
