I recently had a cortisone injection in my knee and the next day I had a blood test performed, I received a call from the lab that the test results showed an increase white blood cells and high sugar level, could this be a result of the cortisone injection? your reply would be greatly appreciated; thank you

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The increase in blood sugar level can be because of the cortisone or steroid injection. Nothing to be panic, consult a general physician and get it evaluated. I hope i have answered your query. Take care.
