Does Coreg Cause Insomnia?
My 90 year old mother was recently switched from metoprolol to coreg in a short hospital stay. She is home and is experiencing major sleepiness. Even after a full night of rest, she is sleeping in the morning. She has a difficult time even staying awake to eat. The only medication change was switching the metoprolol to coreg. We suspect this is a side effect to the coreg and are working with the home nurse to have the medication changed. Do you feel we are assessing this situation correctly.
