Hi, I ve recently bought and taken a natural supplement to lower my cholesterol called Choles-T. Well, I ve taken it for about 1 to 1/2 weeks and I developed a rash, itching and I now have bumps and redness on my arms, chest and legs. I ve done some research on the ingredients in the Choles-T and found that one ingredient- Guggulipids come from the gum resin in a tree from India. Well, I m allergic to various trees, so it could be an allergic reaction from taking it. It also has Red Yeast Rice and Cholesstrinol HP in it and those citric acid, so another possibility is that I have too much citric acid for my body and it said it could cause redness as well. My problem is I m using a Benadryl cream, gone thru 1 whole tube of Hydrocortisone cream and I ve even saved 2 prescription creams (from when I ve had rashes before from Dermatologist) and used those. Well, nothing is working. I ve taken an Epsom Salt bath and used a salt scrub on my body, hoping that would help and it hasn t. We are planning on going to Walgreen s and getting some Calamine Lotion in the morning. Trying to avoid going to the Dr. if possible, I m running out of options, any other suggestions to improve my situation? Thank you!
