Does Biotene Mouthwash Cause Cavities In Teeth?

I would like to know the side effects from using Biotene Mouthwash. My husband has been using it every night for a long period of time. He seems to be getting many cavaties in his teeth. Is this a side effect of Biotene? We d appreciate an answer. Thank you Mrs. Viecelli

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain Biotene mouthwash is not the cause of Dental cavities and can occur due to other causes like Poor Oral hygiene, dry mouth, improper eating habits, inappropriate brushing techniques etc..

I would suggest you to consult a Dentist and get evaluated and a proper examination can help in proper diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly as well as proper brushing technique and cleaning of teeth can be advised..

You can be advised x rays of decayed teeth and in cases of superficial decay tooth coloured fillings can be done to prevent further progression of decay..
In case of deeper decay Root canal treatment of teeth followed by capping of teeth or extraction of teeth in extensive decay can also be advised..
